This Self Love Challenge will Change the Way You Date

I have a challenge for you. And it’ll make dating more fun and less anxiety-producing.

You ready?

It's called the Self-Love Challenge and it's how I start every Swipe with Intention Workshop in New York City (our next one is coming up soon, find out more here).

Here’s why you need this challenge: When I was single, I would show up to a date and immediately try to decode what he was thinking about me. This caused so much anxiety and left me swimming in a sea of judgement- towards my date and towards myself.

My experience with hundreds of women has shown me that I’m not alone.

Dates are a minefield of triggers and inner gremlins. When we’re so focused on interpreting what our date thinks of us, whether or not they’re attracted, etc., it makes the process even more stressful (and dating is hard enough).

The anxious and sometimes mean voices in our head are impacting how your dates are going.

And self-judgement comes as a result.

What if instead you walked into a date with a long list of reasons why you’re awesome and why someone will feel lucky to be your partner at the top of your mind?

How would that change your experience?

The Challenge: For the next 7 days, grab a journal and a pen, set a timer for 2 minutes and write out 20 things (at least) that you love about yourself.

Most people find that the first few days are difficult. I encourage you to stick with it.

As you continue to practice this gratitude toward yourself, making this list will become easier and easier.

The clients who have completed this self-love challenge become more reflective of what they want in their love life and a relationship, and they set better boundaries as a result. Plus they have more joyful dates along the way.

You’ve chosen to embark on a really brave journey to love yourself, and I’ll be here for you every step of the way. You got this!

Let me know in the comments below how this felt for you. Was it easy, difficult or frustrating? How did it feel to have 7 journaling pages full of self-love at the end of the week? I can’t wait to hear from you!
