82. Behind the scenes of two dating coaches (plus, how to believe you are worthy of love)

If you’ve ever wanted to glimpse behind-the-scenes of dating coaching; this week’s episode will make you very happy! Relationship and well-being coach, Shula Melamed, joins me for a discussion about what we see people struggle with in their dating lives, how we help them, and everything in between. W

Shula holds an M.A. in Psychology from the New School University and an M.P.H. in Sexuality and Health from Columbia University. She has spent the last decade studying human behavior, coaching individuals, couples and facilitating groups.  Her approach is informed by theories of psychology, sociology and anthropology - which I just love!

Her mission is to help people not only build better relationships with others, but to support their most important relationship - the one with themselves.

Here’s a Breakdown of Today’s Episode:

  • We share the fun and serendipitous way we met!

  • How her job matchmaking informed the work Shula does now as a relationship and well-being coach.

  • The patriarchal influence on matchmaking and dating.

  • Dating does not have to be reductive in any way.

  • The deepest issues Shula sees people face in their love lives.

How to believe that finding the right person for you is possible.
